Treating Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) involves a collaborative effort among various interdisciplinary healthcare providers, including dentists, working in tandem. Regrettably, insufficient training, fragmented electronic medical record systems, and disjointed insurance payer systems have exacerbated patients, challenges in accessing affordable, life-saving interventions promptly and without frustration. This impediment hinders dentists from delivering effective treatment. Dental Sleep Medicine (DSM) constitutes a therapeutic domain employing custom-made oral appliances to address Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and other sleep-related breathing disorders. These oral appliances function by repositioning the mandible forward, thereby mitigating or eliminating airway obstruction. This approach offers a non-surgical alternative to intervention and Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) therapy. Offering a comprehensive solution for Obstructive Sleep Apnea, we aim to establish durable and adaptable systems benefiting both healthcare providers and the general public.
